NYC | Manhattan| At Home and Beyond

When I used to post images to my social media back in the day (when Facebook and Instagram felt like playgrounds) my favorite part of posting was writing the caption. Somewhere along the way - I lost my way. People would tell me I was sharing too much, but I was lit up by my new found passion and couldn’t help myself. In the beginning, I delivered full (all-inclusive) galleries to every client. Then, then I began taking classes on how to run a photography business and discovered delivering everything was definitely frowned upon, so I set up packages and soon learned that many people weren’t always drawn to the images that had my heart. Lots of posed images were chosen and the rest were left for me to do with what I wished. So, here we are in 2026, I’ve been photographing kids for close to 15 years now and candid, pure moments are still what I look for - ofc everyone smiling at the camera is beautiful too when the smiles are genuine. Not sure why I’m sharing all this (and not relying on Ai to do the heavy-lifting of writing this) maybe to say I want to get back to being honest in my work, sharing more and encouraging families to see that these kind of moments are pure gold and you will eat them up one day, as will your kids. Perfection is overrated. Real-life is where the magic lives!
